The Velvet Underground – Heroin (1967)

The Velvet Underground were obviously one of the greatest bands of all time (if not the best) and “Heroin” is one of the jewels in their crown. Could have chosen a dozen other tracks but I’m a sucker for a cheesy segue. So from James Brown’s “Public Enemy #1″ to “Heroin”. The subject matter is, of course, one and the same.

Two versions for your delectation. The LP version and a live version I think from the Bataclan in 1972 . Both great.
