After last night’s synth pop/hardcore punk showdown, what better way to bring some decorum to the proceedings than to dip into the Wu-Tang Clan back catalogue.

Living in rural Cambridgeshire, I have always felt a close affinity with the daily lives of the Staten Island rap fellas. Many of the difficulties we have with our pavements, bin collection rota and arrangements for painting the cricket pavilion are clear metaphors for the drug fuelled gun violence experienced on a daily basis by the urban underclass in “the big apple” (as I understand all locals call New York).

With this in mind, I present the Wu-Tang at their most reflective. A classic track from the landmark Liquid Swords LP released under the Genius/GZA moniker. A perfect record.
