Hey, it’s Saturday night! I mean Friday night. Err, Good Friday night! Party time. Probably.

I was living in Manchester when this came out and I had a serious Smiths and New Order fixation. Chicago House was just breaking and the pills, thrills, bellyaches and contradictions of the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays were yet to come. 

This stood out as a great pop record at the time. And it still does.
