Bob Dylan – All Along the Watchtower (1967)

The Jim Hendrix cover version of this song was released around 6 months after the original and is a work of genius in its own right – in due course, it will be added to this blog. However, I love the original – a simple album track from Bob Dylan’s wonderful John Wesley Harding LP recorded in 1967. The harmonica on this is just sublime.

Trying to find a good clip of this on the web is not easy and Youtube seems to draw a blank. However, this link has the music in all its glory.  Someone’s homemade video though with added weather sound effects at the beginning and end …
