Bank holiday Monday, the sun is still out and so it must be worth making time for the wonderful Nutbush City Limits by Ike and Tina Turner.

I just love the guitar sound on this – rumoured to be played by Marc Bolan. The seven inch single of this was pretty ubiquitous in our house around this time. I’m pretty sure that it belonged to my sister Di but somehow I have now got it. Sorry.

Two versions, a great live video from 1973 (mimed and truncated!)  and then the vinyl original.
