Jonathan Richman – That Summer Feeling (1992)

I was just watching the extraordinary live performance of All Your Friends by LCD Soundsystem (check the post here) and suddenly found that I just had to hear something by Jonathan Richman.

Have to say, I’m not sure how I’ve managed to post 92 tracks and not included Jonathan either on his own or with the seminal Modern Lovers. In due course, there will be at least a dozen Jonathan Richman tracks but, ’til then, I wanted to post his 1992 version of That Summer Feeling which was the stand out track on the I, Jonathan LP. Originally, this track was released on the Jonathan Sings! LP of 1983 but I think this revisitation is the definitive reading.

Now that the UK summer has finished and autumn beckons, listen to this track as you remember that blissful summer week in, er, April.
