Furniture – Brilliant Mind (1986)

Having extracted myself from the Australian contratemps, I felt I needed to consolidate behind the genius of Kate Bush.

As such, taking haven with Furniture’s extraordinary “Brilliant Mind” seemed a good move. Loved this record when it came out but now it seems more farsighted and innovative than it did at the time. No longer a piece of 80s synth-pop fluff, truly a record meriting further attention …..
