Bruce Springsteen – Nothing Man (2002)
Following 9/11, not many bands tried to make much sense of it all.
In typical fashion, Bruce Springsteen had a go on his “The Rising” LP of 2002. I returned to that album today in the light of events in Pakistan. Occasionally a little too studied and earnest (forgiveable, I think); it never fails to engage.
I love two tracks on the LP, one is “Into the Fire” and the other is this, “Nothing Man”. Both beautiful; the latter, particularly.
Remarkably difficult to get a good link to this. The original LP version then a live cut.
