Bootsy Collins – I’d Rather Be With You (1976)

 A couple of weeks ago, I posted a classic Simple Minds track on this blog (here). This, significantly, earlier song by Bootsy Collins almost sounds like a melodic blueprint for Mr Kerr and the chaps.

In my view, the key track on Bootsy’s debut LP “Stretchin’ Out in Bootsy’s Rubber Band” – way ahead of its time.
