Guided By Voices – Drag Days (1996)
These wildly prolific US lo-fi types have released just over 4,000 LPs in the last 20 years (roughly). In addition, the main members Robert Pollard and Tobin Sprout have also released a shedload of solo albums. I will be posting quite a few tracks in due course.
Releasing so many records in so short a time, inevitably means that the hit rate is not 100%. However, they frequently strike indie-pop gold and here is a classic example. Taken from their seminal “Under the Bushes, Under The Stars” LP – Drag Days is a great entry point into the GBV genre … classic guitar pop.

Nice. This song sounds great. I only really know Bee Thousand but have been meaning to check out their other stuff for a long time. Keep posting and I’ll keep listening. I just started a music blog myself if you want to check it out. Thanks for posting.
