R.E.M. – It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) (1987)

Well, as we’re getting pretty close to the end of days/armageddon now, I’ve spent the afternoon getting my affairs in order.

In particular, I’ve been cancelling subscriptions, bringing my utilities bills filing system up to date, mowing the odd, rogue, blade of grass that has managed to grow in the unusual drought we’re having and I’ve then cleaned the bathroom.

It seems a damn shame that everything is going to end just as this blog was about to go viral.

No matter. Such is life. And, indeed, death.

Great song though – would have been on the blog at some point even without today’s events that make it so pertinent.
