Buzzcocks – Boredom (1977)

Reorded in the dying days of 1976 and released in January 1977, this might be the pinnacle of the Buzzcocks career.

Sure, they went on to record “Ever Fallen In Love With …” and “Love You More” and “Promises” and a dozen more killer singles but the debut recording featuring Howard Devoto on vocals was never surpassed.

Wonderful bass, guitar and drums with a superb, sneering vocal over the top. A perfect record!

Two versions – the original “Spiral Scratch” version and then an unbelievable, superior take from the “Times Up” bootleg.
