The Pastels – Rough Riders (Make Up and Mighty Flashlight Remix) (1998)

Another band who were big favourites on the John Peel shows of the 1980s and 1990.

The Pastels were inaugural members of the “C-86″ brigade but were always a bit more interesting. Never prolific artistes, their 4th LP “Illumination” followed 10 years after thier debut. Within a year, an LP of remixes was released on the wonderful Domino Records and amongst a galaxy of stars, this was the highlight ….

Always loved this but frankly never completely understood what was going on ….Prince meets Boyracer, or something!
