The Police – So Lonely (1978)

Listen, I simply don’t care if you don’t like The Police. Their first LP is a classic new wave album and they went on to release many fantastic singles. In due course, for many many reasons, I will have to post “Every Breath You Take” ….

However, in my view, they peaked early with the single/LP track “So Lonely” on the Outlandos D’Amour LP.

Namechecked on the previous post, this track bring together their classic “cod” reggae, driving bass, Fripp-ish guitar and a great video filmed in Hong Kong (so a little later than the track I think). Should bring back fond memories for folk “of a certain age” and particularly old acquaintances from Hong Kong.

The HK video then a brilliant live performance from 1978!
