Screaming Tribesmen – Igloo (1983)

I think I might be onto a major role pulling in the punters this afternoon! There seems nothing more likely to generate the hits than wildly obscure and unpopular Australian punk rock from the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Anyone noticing the web running a little slowly this afternoon need to know that my last post (Radio Birdman’s immortal “Hanging On”, here) appears to have gone viral and is having “stuxnet” type effects on the entire, err,  “cloud” – either that, or my modem is on the blink again.

So, we stay in Australia and leap forward 5 years to take in the wonderful debut single of the never overly popular Screaming Tribesmen. As the guitars kick in, you will immediately spot that this is an all-time classic and that your lives had never really been complete until this moment.

The original track then a clip from DC Mtn Lab which is a snowboarding movie I have never seen ….

I used to have a cassette tape the tribesmen in the 80s. My fave track of theirs though is ‘Date with a Vampire Girl’ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7vI6_lcnTY
