Iggy Pop – Success (1977)

Had no plans to post this tonight.

However, the previous post by Camper Van Beethoven and a nice glass of the red stuff suddenly reminded me of the genius of the “call and response” genre.

There is no finer exemplar of the power of this approach than “Success” from Iggy Pop’s era defining “Lust for Life” LP.

Given that I’ve chosen to post this song before the LP’s title track and “The Passenger” and “Neighbourhood Threat”, this better be good. Fortunately, it is better than good …..
